124 golfers participated in the 4th Charlies Trophy, on the 5th August raising over £12,000 for charity.
A fun packed day at a sunny Dainton Park Golf Club challenged the golfers with a number of fun golfing tests including beating Trick Shot Pro Rob Brown on the 8th hole, whilst he hit his shot standing on one leg on a step ladder backwards with a driver with only 13 players succeeding!
Other trials were the Marshmallow drive hosted by local telecom company Mantracom , also attempting a hole -in-one for a £10,000 kitchen donated by sponsors System6Kitchens . A Thai massage by Saeng Whiteway for the weary golfers whilst viewing local artist Jess Hill painting, both donating their services for the day.
The primary beneficiary is the RTS support group with donations to Children’s Hospice South West, Newton Abbot Community Transport, Rotary Club of Newton Abbot , Shelterbox and Rowcroft Hospice at Home.
